MIXED ABILITY PILATES
I am Pilates Institute trained and teach mixed ability classes. To accommodate beginners , intermediates and advance levels , I demonstrate three levels of progression per exercise. I also teach beginners , pre and postnatal in small groups and one to one .I studied at Chichester university gaining a BSc hons in sports therapy i treat and rehabilitate injuries. By the use of mobility, strengthening and stretching exercises pilates will help your posture. It works by re-balancing muscle groups and therefore altering the way you use your muscles to produce movement. I also like to link some yoga movements to pilates to create a varied and interesting repertoire.
I teach clinical pilates as my Sports Therapy background very much crosses over into pilates. Using pilates from rehab for spine and pre and postnatal in pregnancy.
Pilates equipment used in class: rings, mini balls, resistance bands and hand weights will also be used in classes.
Classes are taught in small friendly groups and are varied every week. This is dependant on season to season. The classes run in five week blocks running from block to the next.
I have 18 years experience and am as passionate today as when i first started.I currently teach St.Pancras Church hall Lewes lower level ,
St Mary's Church hall Highdown road Lewes .I cover classes periodically at David Lloyd, Fitness First ,Lewes Seaford and Peachaven Leisure Centres.
